Remember the time when I made a cake and put icing over it and it melted?
Remember the time when you could hear the the "rips" of rapped paper.
That Was Christmas.
Remember the time when you can taste and smell the turkey and gravy?
Remember the time when your cat climd up the Christmas tree?
That was Christmas.
Remember the time when your cat tried to eat the turkey?
Remember the time when you can hear your dad coming back from work so you can open your presents?
That was Christmas.
Remember the time when you saw a giant star on Christmas night?
Remember the time when you played with your Christmas present in the morning?
Remember the time when your cat climd up the Christmas tree and chewed the lights and they broke?
That was Christmas.

Personification Poem
The weather is freezing.
The trees leaves are frozen.
The sky is as white as a white person.
Everybody is freezing cold.
The water is like a mirror of people.

La Luna by Cameron
You can see a lantern, boat, kid, dad and a grandpa. The grandpa has a white beard. the man has a moustache. The grandpa gives the boy a hat and an anchor. The anchor was like a rock so the dad grabbed a ladder and told the boy to go up. The boy climbed up, then he floated up to the moon. He placed the anchor in a hole. Then a star flew into the moon. The boy went to touch it. It glowed like a banana. His dad and grandpa went up with him and they had a fight. Then a giant star hit the moon. The boy tapped it with a hammer and it broke into little stars.

Lighthouse by Cameron
A cold dark day in a lighthouse. An old man was writing letters to his mum and dad. He could hear all of the town people so he shut his window. Then he heard a bang and the lighthouse light turned off. He quickly went to the light and it wasn't working so he grabbed the cover of the light. But then he tripped over a stone and smashed the cover. Then he heard a HONK, HONK. He quickly ran down stairs and opened the door. Lots of the townspeople came with lanterns. Some of the townspeople went on the hill with their lanterns and some people went upstairs on the light house. Then the boat could see and the boat travelled far, far away.

Maths Improvements
For the past two weeks we have been learning to use our five times tables to help us answer more challenging times tables like our 6, 7, 8 and 9 times tables. Last week we did a warm up using our 2s, 5s, and 10 times tables. This week we did a similar activity.

Helper Hats.
Are you tired of making dinner? Get the Helper Hat.
They help brush your teeth and make food. Also you can make a hot coffee, hot chocolate and it helps count money.
And it only turns off by saying “turn off.” To charge: turn it off for ten minutes.
The Helper Hats also has a money maker in it. It’s for free. If it doesn’t work you can give it back. If it turns evil, just try looking like a monkey. They also fight so watch out!

My taonga
My taonga is a big tooth. I got it when I was five years old. My taonga is very special to me because it was carved in New Plymouth by my own dad. He carves Maori patterns. My dad put a string on it for my neck. I use it during funerals and rugby for good luck.
